Two years on from a murder on Ilford High Road, detectives are urging two men to hand themselves in.
On 7 March 2020, 24-year-old Ricardo Fuller was fatally stabbed outside a nightclub where he had been attending a friend’s 30th birthday party.
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “It is vital that we locate these men so that they can be brought back to the UK to face trial. My message to them is, do the right thing. Contact police.
“Likewise, I am appealing to their family and friends; they cannot have gone two years without making contact – you know where they are. Put yourselves in this grieving family’s place and think about what you would want. Ricardo’s family deserve to know what happened that night.
“My team will not stop until everyone we believe to have been involved is put before the courts. It is only a matter of time.”
Detectives launched a murder investigation following the attack on Ricardo, and as a result of fast time enquiries identified five suspects.
It was established that these men had fled the country before police were able to find and arrest them. Officers continue to work with colleagues from the National Crime Agency (NCA) and Interpol in an effort to locate them.
In April 2020, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges against the five men in their absence.
Since then, three of the men have returned to the UK and await trial.
Detectives still need to locate two men and are appealing for information to trace them. They are:
[D] Ahmed Sesay, 29 (10.06.92) of Boundary Road, E13;
[E] Abubaker Tarawally, 24 (14.01.98) of an unknown address.
A £10,000 reward is available for information that leads to the location and extradition of these individuals.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8345 1570. If their call is not answered straight away, they should leave a message and an officer will return their call.
