Author #MarkSimon’s new book, ‘Mookie the Funny Little Boy’, is a collection of high-spirited stories telling of a playful young boy, based on the author’s adored son

Mark Simon, a proud father and fifth-generation farmer, has completed his new book, “Mookie the Funny Little Boy”: a heartwarming collection of short stories.

One of his many adventures comes to a silly conclusion when Simon writes, “The next day when Dad came home from milking the cows, he looked and saw the bread was gone. So Dad again tore up a piece of bread and threw it out where the duck came out from the field. The next day, the same thing happened, except that Mookie came from around the house and picked up the pieces of bread and ate them. Mom and Dad looked at each other and said, ‘I guess Mookie turned out to be the duck.'”

Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Mark Simon’s playful tales capture the childlike whimsy and curiosity parents will adore and children will relate to.

After an accident that left Simon disabled, his son had taken over some of the farm work he could no longer accomplish. Though they were forced to sell the farm, Simon kept the memories alive with stories of his beloved son as a child, a boy he fondly called Mookie.

Readers who wish to experience this exciting work can purchase “Mookie the Funny Little Boy” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
